What we keep, and what we don't
Plain version: we keep what is needed to sew your piece and get it to you. Your body photograph and your card details are never on our system at all.
What never reaches us
- Your Measure me photograph. The camera runs inside your browser. The picture is read on your own device and is gone when you leave the page. Only the eleven numbers travel, and only when you place a made-to-order order.
- Your card details. Payment happens on Paystack's own page. We are told an order was paid and nothing more — no card number, no expiry, no CVV.
- Your Tailor Studio sketch, until you send it. Drawing happens in your browser.
What we do keep
- Order details — your name, email, phone, delivery address, what you bought, and any note. We need these to sew and deliver, and to answer you later.
- Measurements, if you ordered a made-to-order piece, so the cutter can work and so a re-cut is possible.
- A payment reference from Paystack, so we can match a payment to an order.
Kept on your own device
Your bag, your chosen currency and your saved measurements live in your browser's own storage, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them. On Measure me there is a button to delete the saved profile outright.
Who else sees it
Only the people who have to: Paystack to take the payment, and the courier to deliver, who gets your name, address and phone number. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to anyone for advertising.
Cookies
We set one cookie, and only for the shop owner signing in to manage the shop. There is no advertising or tracking cookie on this site.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for six years, which is what tax rules require. Measurements are deleted on request at any time — ask and they are gone, and your order history stays.
Your choices
Ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask for it corrected, or ask for it deleted. Message us on WhatsApp and we will act within 30 days. This is your right under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, and under the UK and EU GDPR if you are ordering from there.
Who to complain to
If we get it wrong, tell us first. If you are still unhappy you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, or to your own country's data protection authority.
